I'm a newly married paramedic/EMT skills instructor who used to work in science-fiction publishing. I'm back in college full-time for the first time in oh, at least a decade. Well, maybe two. I'm also an SCA Laurel (needlework) who likes to make and sell jewelry. I've been making that jewelry for the better part of two decades, eep! Oh, and I do like cats. And lots of other stuff -- my interests can only be considered eclectic.
I can be emailed by using my LJ username at gmail dot com.
Most of the people on my friendslist are people I know in real life. Some are friends of friends, and we're all getting to know each other better. (Yes, I really *do* know just about all of them!) Due to some unpleasantness in my past, I don't automatically friend back folks who friend me without comment -- please don't be offended if I don't automatically reciprocate if you friend me. Please do introduce yourself on one of my public posts (and they're mostly public posts), tell me who you are, and let us get to know each other. I love making new friends; I just don't do it blindly. I kinda need to know who you are before I add you. I hope you understand.
I also don't add people blindly -- I'll introduce myself first and make sure it's mutually acceptable.
When things are getting ugly, and people seem just plain stupid, look at this and remember it.
Dammit, I ran out of interests space. They only let you have 150. [sigh] Is it possible to be interested in too many things? But the world is so fascinating, so full of promise and new things to investigate!
...And people wonder why cats and I get along so well...
